We just spent six months trying to negotiate a short sale of our property with our mortgage holder, Washington Mutual, now Chase. After four months of run-around, they told me I was missing a bunch of documentation, most of which they already had. After two more months, they finally assigned a negotiator (about the fourth one, apparently) who told us we weren't eligible for a shirt sale because we are in active wage-earner bankruptcy. It took six months of me calling twice a week, begging for information, being transferred and hung up on, to get that information.

Well, let me say this.
