Be a Part of the Hippest Spring Event in Midtown Memphis!

On Saturday, April 9th, some of Memphis’ most eclectic art and donations will be available to the highest bidder at the Cooper-Young Community Association’s Art for Art’s Sake Auction 2011.  Radio personality and Cooper-Young resident Ric Chetter will be the MC and the auctioneer for the live portion of the auction. There will also be a silent auction, door prizes, and food and beverages at the Young Avenue Deli from 6- 9:30pm. This event is a celebration of local art and showcases a wide range of paintings, pottery, jewelry, crafts, gift certificates and other items, all of which are donated in support of the Trestle Art and other community enhancement projects in the Cooper-Young community.

Artists whose work will be featured in the live auction include: Karen Bottle Capps, Jeanne Seagle, Carol Robison, Mollie Jaye Riggs, Paul Clarke, Alex Warble, Mary Long-Postal, Rollin M. Kocsis, Maria Parham, Donna Blackard, Lisa Lumb, Judy Vandergrift, and more.

Tickets to the event are available online at artauction.cooperyoung.org, at the Cooper-Young Community Association at 2298 Young Ave, or at the door on the evening of the event.  If you are interested in directly donating, we are still accepting any items including, but not limited to, items/services your business provides, gift certificates, gift baskets, etc and we always need volunteers. With your help, we continue the grassroots efforts to keep this vibrant urban community a great place to live, work, worship and play.
