by Joe Spake on February 25, 2010

Misery

by Joe Spake on February 24, 2010

The pundits and politicians have been buzzing and posturing since last week’s Forbes article citing Memphis as number 3 among America’s 10 most miserable cities.  While Mayor Wharton whittles away at quality of life issues, and preaches that Memphis must control it’s own message and tell it’s own story; and Congressman Cohen challenges Steve Forbes [...]

Saying goodbye to a laggard blog

by Joe Spake on January 10, 2010

In an attempt to bank all the Whuffie I possibly could, I started a photo blog a while back.  I thought someone might be interested in my photos, taken around the Memphis area, but, alas, as evidenced by Flickr data and Google Analytics, there is much better response to the photos I post on Posterous [...]

Luddites 2.0

by Joe Spake on January 8, 2010

Most of the What’s going to happen in Technology in 2010 articles and blog posts have been published, many similar to this one from Globalthoughtz – 10 Technologies that will rock 2010.   I try to keep up with the major trends, but the amount of technology news and innovation out there is mind-boggling, even when [...]

TDOT Cameras come in handy on days like this

by Joe Spake on January 7, 2010

I have seen the TDOT (Tennessee Department of Transportation) cameras along the freeways of the Memphis area, but have never looked at the camera images until this morning, worrying about Katy’s commute.
