Things that make Memphis interesting – Ingenuity

So maybe your Uptown church can’t afford fancy signage in the parking lot.  This rather abstract, freehand drawing of the handicapped parking symbol gets the job done.

Mission Accomplished! Another piece of Memphis’ history gone

Plenty has been written about the fate of Union Avenue United Methodist Church which sat at the southwest corner of Union Avenue and Cooper Street for 100 years.

There is no use rehashing the actions of the the Methodist Church, real estate agent, OPD, the City Council, Memphis Heritage, the lawyers, the protesters.   The building is gone, to be replaced by a tacky one-story drug store – the fourth in a quarter mile radius.  For CVS, it’s MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!
