TDOT Cameras come in handy on days like this

I have seen the TDOT (Tennessee Department of Transportation) cameras along the freeways of the Memphis area, but have never looked at the camera images until this morning, worrying about Katy’s commute.

Wow, lots of cameras, and you can do map mashups on road conditions and traffic flow, incidents, and construction.

If you are “snowed in” today, go to http://ww2.tdot.state.tn.us/tsw/smartmap.htm?city=Memphis and have fun watching whats happening on the highways.

Hominy Casserole -Reprise

I first posted the Hominy Casserole recipe back before Thanksgiving , and got rave reviews from those who tried it.  I even sent a few cans of  Golden Hominy to my Facebook friend Tom Plant in California, who claims golden (yellow)  hominy is rarer than gold out there, and that it’s not easy to  find the white.

So for all you “sides” folks, here’s the best casserole recipe of the year.  Good luck finding hominy in your area. {Hint: Tom found it in a Mexican grocery}

Have a Merry Christmas, a Huge Holiday Feast (with lots of sides), and a Happy and Prosperous New Year!
