We started the 4th of July festivities by attending the neighborhood parade – Central Gardens / Carr Avenue Parade, a long-time tradition in this Midtown Neighborhood. The enthusiasm of the participants says a lot about this Midtown neighborhood.
Later in the day, a visit to the laid-back hospitality of Horseshoe Lake (Hughes, Arkansas) and the traditional July 4th Boat Parade (or is that regatta?)
A while ago the Memphis Area Association of Realtors initiated a You Tube video contest: Your Memphis: Take One. The challenge was to produce a 3 minute video about what you love about about Memphis.
