Twitter – considering the second question

“What are you doing now?  Is it working?”  The first question sounds familiar, doesn’t it?  The 2 questions was the mantra of Reality Therapy, invented and popularized by Dr. William Glasser in the  late 1960’s and studied by me in grad school in the 1980’s.  It was a practical, straight forward, behavoiral  approach to psychology.  Flash forward to the most successful pop psychologist of all time, Dr. Phil. His question that responds to your answer for “what are you doing?” has become an American catch phrase:  “How’s that working for you?”

These 2 approachs to human behavior are remarkably similar  and certainly appear to be valid.  Will  psychologists start analyzing their clients’ tweets for a better picture of their personalities?

Twitter asks the simple question and generates a rich fabric of responses.  Obviously Twitter is “working”.  But how’s it working for you?

Got a Facebook Page? Here’s a new way to get the word out

Those folks at Facebook keep slipping in goodies. After the latest land rush for vanity URL’s for pages, FB pages seem to have gotten more attention. Go to your page, and in the left column under your logo picture in the Edit Page section, you will now see Add Fan Box to your Site. This nifty feature generates a widget for your website or blogs lets visitors “Fan” you on the spot!

You have some control over content and size, but here is the full-tilt version for my page http://facebook.com/memphisrealestate
